MPC Expansion: Electric Prophet is an expansion pack by Beat for Akai MPC that contains 107 keygroup programs and 642 samples built from Sequential Pro 3 and Prophet 08 patches. It requires MPC hardware or software to run.
Electric Prophet is a preset expansion for MPC that gathers 107 patches drawn from the Sequential Pro 3 and Prophet 08 synthesizers. The developer, Beat, describes the set as covering arpeggios, bass sequences, hooklines and pads. The pack totals 1.15 GB of content and includes audio previews so you can audition sounds before loading them into a project.
The pack centers on Pro 3 sounds such as arpeggios, bass sequences and hooklines. Beat notes that the Prophet 08 contributes pads to round out the set.
With 642 samples organized into 107 keygroup programs, the library gives you playable instruments rather than a loose collection of audio files. The included audio previews let you hear each program before you commit it to a project.
Electric Prophet is built for MPC. It works with the standalone models MPC One, X, Live, Live mkII and Force, as well as Touch, Renaissance, MPC Beats and MPC Software.
Because the pack runs inside MPC, you need MPC hardware or software to use it. Keygroup programs load straight into the MPC workflow, so the sounds can be played, sequenced and arranged like any other instrument in the software.
