MPC Expansion: Deluxe Houze Junkie is an expansion pack from Beat for AKAI MPC hardware and software, with 82 key group programs for house-style production.
Deluxe Houze Junkie is an expansion for AKAI's MPC series, built around house music. It contains 82 key group programs covering basses, chords, leads and synth sounds, pads and strings, plus six arpeggios. The developer positions the pack for deep, slap, tech and lo-fi house, and for pop house. It includes 492 samples totaling about 1.2 GB, optimized for MPC use.
The pack is organized by sound type. It includes 26 basses, 22 chords, 21 lead and synth sounds, and 7 pads and strings, along with 6 arpeggios. Each sound is delivered as a key group program, so you can play it across the keyboard or sequence it in the MPC's pad grid.
The developer says the sounds are crisp and fresh, aimed at contemporary house production. Audio demos are included so you can audition the content before loading it into a project.
Deluxe Houze Junkie works with AKAI MPC One, X, Live, Live mkII, Force, Studio, Touch, MPC Software, MPC Beats and Renaissance. The developer notes that it is compatible with the MPC Beats DAW and that MPC software or hardware is required to use it.
The developer names Felix Jaehn, Dynoro, R3hab and VIZE as reference points for the style, and says EDM and techno producers can also use the pack.
