Massive X Drum & Bass Patches is a preset collection built for Native Instruments Massive X. The pack includes 50 bass patches, 20 atmospheric patches, 10 arp-effected patches and 10 FX patches, all with macro controls for quick tweaking, modulation and variation. Each patch is supplied with 90 Wav loops and 90 MIDI loops, and every loop file is named to match its patch in the pack, so you can find the right audio and MIDI for each sound.

Bass Sounds and Patch Categories

The pack is weighted toward bass, with 50 bass patches out of 90 total. Singomakers Sounds says the bass patches suit a wide range of bass genres, including Drum & Bass, Contemporary Bass House, Future Bass, Neurofunk, Trap and Garage, as well as any genre that calls for low-frequency weight and modulated movement.

The remaining patches cover atmospheric textures, arp-effected sounds and FX. The arp-effected group gives you ready-made rhythmic movement, and the FX patches can be used for transitions and sound design beyond bass.

Because the macro controls are built in, you can shape tone, modulation and variability without rebuilding each patch from scratch.

Loops Included With the Pack

Along with the synth patches, the pack includes 90 Wav loops and 90 MIDI loops. Each loop file corresponds to the name of a patch in the pack, which makes it easier to pair a sound with its matching audio or MIDI idea.

The Wav loops give you rendered audio you can drop straight into an arrangement. The MIDI loops let you change notes, rhythm and timing inside your own session, and they work with the patches as the sound source.
