Dubstep Synths is part of Loopmasters' Patchworx series, a collection of handcrafted patches for popular soft synths. The pack was created by Dr Hobo (Tom Stocks), a sound designer who focuses on dark bassline synthesis for dubstep and drum and bass. The 65 patches are built for Massive and are aimed at producers who want genre-specific sounds they can edit and use in their own tracks. Each preset comes with a matching MIDI file, so you can start from a playable part.

What Is Inside: Basses, Leads and Risers

The 65 Massive presets break down into 47 bass patches, 5 FX, 4 leads, 2 pads and 7 rises and sweeps. The bass group is the core of the pack. It includes tearing wobbles and screaming Reese-style sounds, which are the main focus of the collection.

The leads include modulated leads and super saw sounds. The FX group offers dub effects, and the rises and sweeps include epic risers and sci-fi sweeps for transitions.

The MIDI files follow the same structure, with 46 bass, 5 FX, 4 lead, 2 pad and 7 rise and sweep files, so each preset has a ready-to-edit starting part.

Using the Patches in Drum & Bass and Dubstep Productions
