Compression and Drive Controls for Shaping Sound Character
ShapeShifter uses upward and downward compression controlled by a common Ratio, so both directions of compression respond to one setting. A separate Transients section has its own Ratio and Threshold, giving you independent control over downward compression.
The Drive control offers two models: A, which is gentle, and B, which is harder. An Asymmetry control adds even-order harmonics for harsher, grittier textures. Tone adjustment provides broad shifts in colour, and a Dry / Wet mixer makes parallel processing straightforward.
