01Overview

Nordic Nature is a sound library that loads into Zampler, the sampler-based instrument from the same developer. Its sounds focus on three categories: basses, spherical pads and hybrids that blend real and synthetic instruments. Beat says every patch was designed exclusively with the Clavia Nord Wave 2, a synth the developer describes as built for performance. The pack suits producers who already use Zampler and want ready-made starting points that come from a hardware synth rather than a generic library.

Sound Character and Contents

The expansion includes 71 presets spread across basses, pads and hybrid sounds. Beat describes the pads as spherical, meaning they are intended to feel wide and enveloping rather than thin or narrow. The hybrid sounds combine real and synthetic instruments, which can fill space between sampled acoustic textures and synth-style tones.

Because all patches come from the Nord Wave 2, the pack reflects the character of that hardware. Producers who know the Nord sound will hear its influence in the timbres and movement across the set.

Using Nordic Nature in Zampler

Nordic Nature is an expansion for Zampler, so it needs Zampler 1.0.2 or higher to run. Zampler is available as a free download, and the expansion requires about 2.0 GB of available disk space.

The presets are meant to be loaded into Zampler and played or edited like any other instrument in the host. Their basses, pads and hybrids can serve as starting points for melodic, harmonic or atmospheric parts.
