Zampler Expansion: Brute Factor – Analog-Style Bass and Lead Presets for Zampler

The patches are based on a studio session with the Arturia MiniBrute 2, a monophonic analog synth. Beat says the goal was to carry over the fat, aggressive character that made the hardware a favorite among synth players, and to package it as ready-to-play Zampler presets.

Because the sounds come from a hardware synth, they lean toward the gritty, low-end-heavy textures that the MiniBrute is known for. Producers working in bass music, electronic styles or any genre that calls for a heavy analog edge are the most likely audience.

Alongside the 47 synth patches, the expansion adds pad sounds. Beat points out that this is something the MiniBrute hardware cannot do, so the pads extend the collection beyond what the original synth offers.

The pads give you sustained textures to sit under leads and basslines, which can help fill out a track when you need more than percussive or short synth sounds.
